Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of mortality worldwide, placing prevention at the centre of primary care. Wearable devices such as smartwatches increasingly generate physiological and behavioural data that may complement traditional cardiovascular risk assessment and support personalised counselling. Their growing popularity raises questions about clinical usefulness, accuracy, workflow implications, and ethical considerations. Understanding how future GPs perceive such data is important for anticipating digital health integration into preventive care.
